Welcome to the Splendid Heritage Site
Currently, five collections are represented:
Over time we hope to add many more collections and thereby increase the research and educational value of the site.
To locate objects of interest, use the pull down menues, and search field above to select the attributes of the objects that interest you. With regard to "Regions" and "Tribes" you should only select from one or the other to avoid conflicts. After making your selections, click on the "DISPLAY" button, and thumbnails of those objects meeting your selection criteria will be displayed. If you click on the "ITEM LIST" button then a text list (faster download) will be displayed. The "RESET" button will reset the selections.
A site of this size will constantly be evolving as we find out new facts about the objects and as we add new collections to the site. Any errors, omissions, or mis-statements are our responsibility and we hope to correct these over time as we receive feedback on our work.

In the year 2009 there was a major exhibition of about 150 objects from the Warnock Collection that was first held at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Exhibition then moved to the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming and from there to the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis, Missouri.
An extensive book was prepared for these exhibitions called: "Splendid Heritage - Perspectives on American Indian Art". This book is available through Amazon (click here) or you can download an electronic version by clicking below(75 mbytes):
