Description: Eskimo scrapers of this description were utilized, primarily by Eskimo women, to scrape the undersides of hides, to prepare them for the making of clothing, kayak coverings or other objects.
The top scraper was acquired from Ralph and Betty Miller of the Miller Museum in Homer, Alaska, and the bottom one from Claire Fejes, Fairbanks, Alaska.
