Description: A single piece of saddle leather is folded to make the shape of the sheath, which is held together by 18 iron tacks down the side and wire stitched across the bottom. Knotted thongs decorate the front, as do two buckskin drops that are attached near the mouth. Four dew claws are attached to the outside edge. The blade is made from a rasp the tang of which extends into a bear jaw and is held tight with two steel rivets and poured lead.
